What to expect
Wear what you’re comfortable in! No need to come dressed up. We invite you to come as you are to hear God’s Word.
On Sundays, we gather either in person or online to worship and hear God’s Word. Communion is served during each service.
Our contemporary service combines modern worship music led by a praise team, as well as meaningful liturgical elements.
Our traditional service follows the Divine Service order of worship found in the Lutheran hymnal. Hymns are led by an organist, and worship includes responsive readings, confessions, creeds, and other liturgical elements.
We offer a fun, safe learning experience during the 9:30am Sunday service for newborns through grade 5. Nursery is also provided for children under age 5 during the 8am and 11am services. Learn more about our children’s ministry.
Please arrive 10–15 minutes early so we can register your child and help you find their classroom.
Middle school and high school students at Hope meet Sunday evenings for food, games, and relevant teaching. We also offer fun activities and events regularly. Connect with our student ministry.

Baptism
Scripture says:
- Infants need to be redeemed from their inherited state of sinfulness. (Psalm 51:5)
- No individual of any age has free will in spiritual matters or the ability to make the decision to come to faith. (Romans 3:10–11)
- The faith of both an adult and of a child is the gift of God and the work of the Holy Spirit, who accomplishes it through the means of grace. (Ephesians 2:8–9)

Communion
Also called the Lord’s Supper, communion is God’s gift to sustain, uplift, forgive, and encourage believers in their Christian life. It is God’s true presence, along with Christ’s promise that, through the eating and drinking of this sacrament, you receive forgiveness for your sins and consolation for your souls.
To receive communion, you should:
- Be baptized and believe you have sinned and are in need of a Savior
- Believe that, through the power of the Holy Spirit, you receive Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior
- Desire to turn from your sins and, with the help of God, intend to do so
- Believe that Jesus Christ is present with His body and blood in the bread and wine offered in this sacrament as a means of His grace
